Algebra - CQU Oswins Mathematics (open source software)  Open source software refers to software programs that you can download and use for free.  This site has just about everything you can think of in the way of math software and tools.

Animation - Manipula Math - The material presented in the following pages are for middle school students, high school students, college students, and all who are interested in mathematics. You will find interactive programs that you can manipulate and a lot of animation that helps you to grasp the meaning of mathematical ideas.

Cool Math - Cool Math was designed for students with difficulties in math or who are bored with math.  It    has all levels of math games and activities.

Curriculum - The Khan Academy (mostly math and science, but does have other content as well like history) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with the mission of providing a world-class education to anyone, anywhere. Despite being the work of one man, Salman Khan, this 1600+ video library is the most-used educational video resource as measured by YouTube video views per day and unique users per month. We are complementing this ever-growing library with user-paced exercises--developed as an open source project--allowing the Khan Academy to become the free classroom for the World.

Curriculum and Assessment - Aleks - Teachers and administrators can obtain individually targeted instruction with ALEKS course products correlated to all 50 states' standards. Implemented as a core or supplement, ALEKS improves learning outcomes.  This website is for grades K-12.

Curriculum and Assessment - Buzz Math - BuzzMath is offering a FREE full-access membership for one teacher and 30 of their students in every school for an entire school year.  BuzzMath is the latest interactive mathematics workbook for middle school students.  This website offers 2,700+ online math problems with instant feedback and detailed solutions. It is amazing to watch students manipulate protractors, create triangles on a grid, view all faces of a 3-dimensional object, and plot points of a linear equation all with the click of a mouse. BuzzMath Teacher Tools make it very easy to monitor the progress of students and differentiate instruction based on real-time data. 

Games - Edheads Activities - provides free, educational online games focused on science, math, and critical thinking.  Our activities are designed to meet both state and national standards. We partner with corporations, universities, and school systems throughout the United States, which help us research, design, and test our activities every step of the way. Not only do teachers and students appreciate our free activities, Edheads has been recognized by almost every major award on the Web for our excellent educational content.

Geometry - Geometria provides a graphic interface for creating and solving problems in solid geometry.   It is freely used and distributed.  With Geometria, one can draw and measure segments and angles, measure areas and volumes, transform, cut and join figures. Figures can be turned around and rotated as easily as if having them in one's hands.

Geometry - Geometer's Sketchpad  is a dynamic construction, demonstration, and exploration tool that adds a powerful dimension to the study of mathematics. You and your students can use this software program to build and investigate athematical models, objects, figures, diagrams, and graphs.

Homework Help - Brightstorm Site  Free homework help videos covering every topic in Math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Precalculus & Calculus) and Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics).

Lessons - Multimedia - HippoCampus is a project of the Monterey Institute for Technology and Education (MITE).  The goal of HippoCampus is to provide high-quality, multimedia content on general education subjects to high school and college students free of charge.

Textbooks - First Course in Linear Algebra is a site with open source textbooks for algebra.  There are several similar  books to choose from.

Trigonometry - TouchTrig - is a site where your students can visualize and manipulate trigonometry like never before.

Video Tutorials - Khan Academy - We have 1200+ videos on YouTube covering everything from basic arithmetic and algebra to differential equations, physics, chemistry, biology and finance which have been recorded by Salman Khan

Virtual World MathMovesU is an interactive virtual world where middle school students can interact with algebra, geometry, decimals, fractions, and word problems through topics they are passionate about like sports, music, and fashion.  As students navigate through MathMovesU they will encounter math problems delivered through games, polls, and fun facts.  The site is a great supplement to curriculum and will help students practice and improve their math skills in a fun, engaging manner.  This site truly encourages students to discover more, dig deeper and think critically about math.  Start your own MathMovesU class competition for the school year where students work to earn the most points.  MathMovesU is a great alternative to worksheet practice.  It is best to use MathMovesU in a one to one scenario where each student has their own computer to work on.  If a one to one experience isn’t possible, use classroom computers as a center.  Throughout the year students can rotate through the center to earn points and practice.
